Indian American Air force Colonel to be part of future NASA missions

Menon will undergo two years of initial astronaut training as a NASA astronaut candidate which will begin in January 2022.

Indian American Astronaut Anil Menon was chosen to be part of NASA’s 2021 Astronaut Candidate Class among 9 others. The 10 candidates will represent the United States and work for humanity’s benefit in space.

Lieutenant Colonel, U.S. Air Force Menon was born to Immigrant parents and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was the lead flight surgeon on SpaceX’s first flight that launched humans to space during NASA and SpaceX’s Demo-2 mission.
