Eminent members of the Indian American community and business leaders have condemned and expressed concerns about attack on a Hindu procession in New Delhi and said that few intolerant groups are spearheading this malicious response.

In a series of statements, these Indian Americans from various walks of life ranging from socio-cultural organizations, activists, entrepreneurs, hoteliers, and technologists, called for a concerted effort to curb such kind of violence.

“What happened to Kashmiri Hindus cannot be allowed to happen in the rest of India. These attacks on Ram Navmi and Hanuman Jayanti processions are wake up calls for Hindus to arise and defend themselves,” said Dr Bharat Barai, chairman of US-India Friendship Council.
