Indian American Democrat Pavan Parikh, a former judicial candidate, has been named Hamilton County, Ohio, Clerk of Courts on Dec. 29. He will hold office until the end of 2022 and will be up for reelection in Nov. 2022.

According to a news report, the Hamilton County Clerk of Court is responsible for maintaining records, overseeing courthouse security for municipal court, processing traffic tickets and passport applications.
