Indian American student awarded NCI Predoctoral to Postdoctoral Fellow Transition Award

Sachin graduated from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee and currently works at the Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research, where he puts his training in chemical engineering in service of human health.

An Indian American graduate student from The Massachusetts Institute of Technology(MIT) received the National Cancer Institute Predoctoral to Postdoctoral Fellow Transition (F99/K00) Award. Sachin Bhagchandani is the first MIT student to receive the award.

Reacting to the news he said in a news release issued by MIT, "Having overcome a lot of challenging times when the project wasn't working as we hoped it would. Winning this award helps me look back at those challenges, and persevere, and know, yes, I’m still on the right path."
