Indian American Nithya Raman, an urban designer, has been named to the Governing Board of the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) in Los Angeles by Mayor Eric Garcetti.

"She is a committed environmentalist who will contribute her expertise and commitment. She is laser-focused on our climate and public health issues, and she is a fantastic addition to our board," said Mayor Eric Garcetti.
