Nonresident Indians (NRIs) in California, Silicon Valley, have come out in favor of the BJP ahead of elections in five crucial Indian states: Goa, Manipur, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Punjab. CM Yogi was the top favorite of the diaspora.

Activist Gaurav Patwardhan used Twitter to post images from a car rally in Silicon Valley, California. There were posters of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on several vehicles. They also held Indian tricolors and BJP flags.
