Indian embassy in Chile displays embroidery of western Himalayas

The exhibition organised as part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations will be open for public viewing till Aug.28, 2022.

The Embassy of India in Santiago in association with Museum Artequin has put up an exhibition of exclusive embroideries from Pahari (hill) regions of India titled “Vrittanta: Embroidered Narratives of Pahari Region”.

The exhibition that opened on June 23,2022, will focus on the embroidery styles of the western Himalayan region of India that includes states like Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana, etc.
