An unemployed Indian couple was exempted from paying the hospital bills for the treatment of their newborn, who was receiving treatment at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) for a month and a half.

The couple thanked the hospital staff and also the UAE government, especially the Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Chief Commander of the UAE Army, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, for giving importance to the health sector and treating them the same as UAE citizens.
