Indian expat team wins football tournament in Qatar
The embassy congratulated the team in a tweet describing their win as a “proud moment” for the Indian diaspora in Qatar.
The Indian community football team won the annual Asian Communities Football Tournament (ACFT) organized for the Expatriate Asian Communities living in Qatar by Qatar Football Association (QFA).
The team defeated opponents, the Palestine team 3-2 in the final match held at the Doha Stadium on May 21, 2022, to claim their second winners title in the tournament.
