Indian expat undergoes five simultaneous bypass surgeries

An Indian expatriate was operated on in the United Arab Emirates in a rare surgical procedure. A surgeon performed a beating heart surgery while also performing bypass surgeries in five arteries.

The 38-year-old crane operator was operated on at the NMC Specialty Hospital in Dubai by a team led by consultant cardiac surgeon Dr. Girish Chandra Varma.
