The lockdown imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic meant different things to different people. Some viewed it as an annoyance and others found it a welcome break from their daily routine. But Shafi Vikraman from Kerala saw it as an opportunity to take his love of learning to the next level.
With virtual classes becoming the new normal, lots of people started finding new hobbies like baking or yoga through online instruction. Shafi Vikraman also enrolled himself in multiple virtual courses offered by online learning platforms such as Coursera and the World Health Organization’s learning portal. Over the course of the lockdown, he completed a total of 145 certifications, from various universities abroad including the ivy-leagues such as Harvard, Yale, Princeton and Columbia.
