Indian-origin man charged under Britain's Treason Act over crossbow threat to Queen Elizabeth II

According to the Metropolitan Police of London, Chail is now being held and will show up in court on August 17 at Westminster Magistrates' Court in the British capital.

A 20-year-old man of Indian descent was accused of violating Britain's 1842 Treason Act by the UK police after being apprehended at Windsor Castle while brandishing a crossbow.

Jaswant Singh Chail has also been charged with making death threats and having an offensive weapon after the incident at the castle.
