Indian-origin pastor appointed Bishop in central England

An Indian-origin priest has been appointed as the new Bishop of Loughborough in central England. The Reverend Malayil Lukos Varghese Muthalli, popularly known as Saju is a Vicar of St Mark Gillingham in the Diocese of Rochester in southern England.

According to a statement by the UK Prime Minister’s Office, Mr. Muthalaly’s appointment as the Diocese of Leicester has been approved by Queen Elizabeth II.
