Authorities in Bahrain have closed a popular Indian restaurant called ‘Lanterns’ in Adliya, a bohemian neighborhood in Manama, Bahrain after a woman wearing a hijab was allegedly denied entry.

The action was taken after a video showing one of the staff blocking a veiled women from entering the facility went viral on social media platforms. In the video, the girl says she went to the restaurant with her friend but was shocked when her friend was denied entry because she was wearing a hijab.
