Indian students win NASA’s Human Exploration Rover Challenge

The challenge by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) involved as many as 91 teams from across the world, including 58 institutions and 33 high schools.

The NASA 2022 ‘Human Exploration Rover Challenge’(HERC) announced winners recently which included two Indian student groups hailing from the states of Punjab and Tamil Nadu.

Awards were granted in nine categories, with Punjab's Decent Children Model presidency School receiving the STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) Engagement Award which is awarded to the team that has most successfully inspired STEM-related research in their community, including collaboration with middle school students for the task challenge.
