India and England were held to a 1-1 draw on Sunday at the Wagener Hockey Stadium in Amstelveen, Netherlands, in the opening Pool B match of the FIH Hockey Women's World Cup 2022.

Goalkeeper Savita Punia is the team's new captain as India looks to improve on last year's fourth-place performance in the Tokyo Olympics. Rani Rampal, India's regular captain, was not available due to a hamstring injury.
