During the meeting, various issues were discussed from the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact of the Russia-Ukraine conflict. They also discussed India`s upcoming G20 Presidency and World Bank leadership in India.

On Friday, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman met with World Bank President David Malpass in Washington, D.C., to address a number of critical economic challenges.

During the discussion, the Finance Minister highlighted that India's pandemic response has prioritized preserving lives and livelihoods. According to the news release, India has effectively operated the world's second-largest immunization program, giving more than 1.85 billion doses of vaccinations.
