India’s first water taxi service launched in Maharashtra

The water taxis will connect Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, considerably reducing the travel time between the two coastal cities.

India’s first water taxi service connecting the twin cities of Mumbai and Navi Mumbai was virtually flagged off from the newly constructed Belapur Jetty by the Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal.

This new service will considerably reduce the commute time between South Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. Additionally, it will ease road traffic congestion and also encourage the use of Mumbai Harbour for public transportation.
