The buyers who purchase trees in the digital world apart from being part of a sustainable project will also be rewarded in future when the tree they planted bears fruits.

On the occasion of Earth day, India’s Forest Man Jadav Payeng parterned with Dubai’s Aqarchain.io, world’s first real estate NFT (non-fungible token) marketplace to set up a digital forest in their virtual metaverse land, Aqarland.

Payeng who spent his entire life single handedly erecting the Molai Forest in India aims to go a step further with this digital forest project. “After all the achievements I have accomplished, I am looking to engage the youth of today further, and the best way to do that is by moving into the digital realm. So I will plant a digital forest in the metaverse on AqarLand and map it to a real forest that I will plant, thus connecting the two worlds using technology.” Payeng explained in a news release.
