The falling rupee has caused foreign investors to pull out capital worth $4 billion from the Indian stock market.

The Indian Rupee is set to end 2021 as the worst performing currency in Asia. The depreciation has caused foreign investors to exit the country’s stock market.

Just in this quarter, the currency declined 2.2% when compared to the US Dollar as global funds worth $4 billion was pulled from India’s capital market. This is the highest among regional markets for which data is available.
