Jagannath Rath Yatra, Puri-2021: celebrated without devotees due to Covid 19 pandemic

As the festival began, a two-day curfew was imposed in city. Only those servitors (attendant of God) who received vaccine shots and tested negative for Covid-19 were allowed to attend the rituals.

Rath Yatra,the festival of chariots of Lord Jagannatha, is one of the biggest Hindu festivals and it's organized every year at Jagannatha temple in Odisha's Puri, India. For last two years its being celebrated without devotees due to Covid 19 pandemic.
Nine-days festival began on July 12 this year at 12th century shrine complex, in Puri. .
