Karthick Thanigaimani climbs to raise funds for mental health awareness

Karthick has raised around $1,055. The virtual Firefighter Stair Climb commenced in September and will end in October 2021. Due to covid restrictions, the event has been impacted.

Karthick Thanigaimani, an Indian American firefighter with the Point Cook Fire Brigade of the Country Fire Authority (CFA), has accomplished his first-ever Firefighter Stair Climb in 2021. The event titled 'MILLION STEPS FOR MENTAL HEALTH' aims to raise funds for post-traumatic stress injury (PTSI), depression and suicide.

Karthick has set a goal to climb 5,000 steps every day with the hope to raise more than $1,000. He was encouraged to raise awareness and raise funds for mental health, serving as a CFA volunteer.
