Kerala seeks Centre's assistance in evacuating the Keralites stuck in Kabul

Following the panic calls from stranded Keralites to the Department of NORKA, the state-run welfare agency for non-resident Keralites, the government sent letters to the External Affairs Ministry requesting immediate action for their evacuation.

Kerala government urged the External Affairs Ministry to set up arrangements to evacuate 41 Keralites including women and children who are stuck with Taliban-controlled Kabul.

The Keralites contacted the Kerala government, requesting safe evacuation. A letter has been sent to the External Affairs Ministry stating the conditions of the Keralites in Afghanistan.
