The festival is being celebrated as a part of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ which commemorates 75 years of India's Independence

Ladakh to host first edition of Himalayan film festival

The Union Territory of Ladakh is ready for the first edition of the five-day Himalayan Film Festival beginning September 24. Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Singh Thakur will be the chief guest for the event.

The film festival is being organised by the UT administration in cooperation with the Directorate of Film Festivals (DIFF) and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. It will take place at the Sindhu Sanskrit Kendra at Leh.
