Indian CDS Bipin Rawat cremated with full 17-gun salute

The nation is mourning the unfathomable loss of India’s first Chief of Defence Staff Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika Rawat and 11 others who lost their lives.

India's first CDS General Bipin Rawat, his wife and 11 other defence personnel were killed in a recent chopper crash near Coonoor, Tamil Nadu earlier this week, The cremation of the CDS and his wife was conducted at Brar Square Crematorium at the Delhi cantonment which is 3 km from the general's residence.

Family members of the CDS along with his daughters, Tarini and Kritika performed the rituals at home after which a funeral procession was organized.
