Heavy rain lashed parts of the national capital for the second consecutive day on Wednesday. Thunderstorm with light to moderate intensity rain over Delhi and adjoining areas was predicted by India Meteorological Department.

The city saw the highest single-day rainfall in Sept. in at least 12 years, with weather stations recording 112.1 mm rainfall in 24 hours.
