Mangoes arrive in America as USDA approves Indian mango Import

Since 2020, the US had restricted the import of Indian mangoes due to Covid-19 travel restrictions. This was because USDA inspectors were unable to travel down to India to inspect the fruit – an important step before the US approves the import of mangoes into its country.

After two years of pandemic-imposed restrictions, the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) has given India approval to export its mangoes to the United States.

For all the desi Indians in the United States, this comes as a refreshing news as summer is all about consuming mangoes from their homeland.
