Microsoft Corp is to invest $9 billion in Indian budget hotel chain, Oyo. This deal will be made official in the coming few weeks. The partnership between the two companies is said to change Oyo’s game in the market. As per the deal, Oyo might upgrade its tech from AWS to Microsoft’s more sophisticated cloud service.

This cloud service will a great asset to Oyo as there will be an upgradation in supervising the inventory, cloud migration, and other AI based operations that will ensure the smooth running between hotel partners and Oyo. After Oyo took a hit during the pandemic, it had to lay-off a lot its employees and terminate many partnership deals.
