Central trade unions observe two-day Bharat Bandh
Bank unions are protesting against the government move to privatize two public sector banks as announced in this year's Union Budget

Trade unions across the country went on a two-day strike on March 28 and 29 to protest against the government's policies, which union leaders claim have adversely affected public sector banks, insurance, transportation, telecommunications, coal, steel, oil, and postal services.
A coalition of 10 Central trade unions called for a "Bharat Bandh" to protest the government's "anti-worker" policies.
