Neera Tanden becomes Biden’s staff secretary
Tanden is replacing Jessica Hertz and has been given the responsibility of preparing for various contingencies that may arise from the Supreme Court's hearing to strike down the Affordable Care Act
Neera Tanden has been appointed as Staff Secretary of President Joe Biden, media reports have confirmed with the White House officials.
She is a former president of the Center for American Progress. Before she became the senior adviser, she was nominated for the White House budget director position earlier in the year.
