Children Act gives fillip to young Indian American dreams

Indian American Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthy, along with Congresswoman Deborah Ross, Rep Marianette Miller Meeks and Rep Young Kim introduced America's Children Act.

The introduction of this bill will pave way for changes in the current US immigration system.

Currently in the US, of the two lakh documented dreamers, nearly 70% are children from Indian families who face the threat of deportation. Documented dreamers are those children who are brought into the US as kids along with their parents (non-immigrant visa holders such as H-1B) as minors.
