Pawan Goenka, chairman of the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center (IN-SPACe), which is a nodal government space agency, said that private enterprises in India will finally be permitted to launch their own commercial space projects by the end of this year as a new space policy will soon be announced by the government.

Additionally, it is anticipated that the new space policy will permit Indian private companies to collaborate with government agencies on commercial space missions.
