NSF Funds for Expanding Biotechnology Pipeline for Adults Seeking Reemployment

The National Science Foundation has given a $509,000 Advanced Technological Education grant to Los Angeles Mission College on Tuesday for “Expanding the Biotechnology Pipeline to Adults Seeking Reemployment.”

"It aims to enhance the amount and quality of skilled biotechnology employees to fulfil regional workforce need, furthermore provide classroom to career paths for adults who lost employment due to the COVID-19 pandemic," said Chander Arora, PhD, the program's director and a Life Sciences faculty member.
