Olympic Games Beijing 2022: Indian mission not to participate in the opening and closing ceremonies

The reason behind India not participating in the Olympic ceremonies was due to China's choice to honour a military leader at an international event.

On Thursday, the government announced that the Indian mission will not be participating in the opening and closing ceremonies of the Winter Olympics 2022 which is taking place in Beijing, China, with some events in Yanqing and Chongli.

The Olympics officially begins on 4th of Feb., 2022 (Friday). The reason behind India not participating in the Olympic ceremonies was due to China's choice to honor a military leader at an international event.
