Philippines signs US$375 million deal for BrahMos missiles
This is the first export order for a missile developed by India and Russia in collaboration.
The Philippines' Defense Ministry signed a USD 374 million contract with the BrahMos Aerospace Pvt Ltd (BAPL) to supply an undisclosed number of missiles today, marking India's first-ever export order for BrahMos missiles, military officials said.
BrahMos Aerospace, a joint venture between India and Russia, manufactures the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile, which can be launched from submarines, ships, aircraft, or land platforms.
