On Sunday, President Ram Nath Kovind said that connectivity with Central Asian countries is a top priority for India, which is a member of both the International North-South Transport Corridor and the Ashgabat Agreement.

He was addressing students at the prestigious Institute of International Relations. "We have taken steps to operationalize the Chabahar port in Iran which can provide secure, viable and unhindered access to the sea for the Central Asian countries,” he said
