Virat Kohli, the Royal Challengers Bangalore captain, on Sunday became the first Indian batsman and the fifth batsman in the world to get to 10,000 T20 runs. He needed 13 runs to achieve the feat before the start of the match.

During the Indian Premier League 2021 clash against Mumbai Indians, Kohli opened the innings alongside Devdutt Padikkal and reached the score of 16 in the 4th over in his knock of 51 runs from 42 balls. Kohli smashed the MI pacer Jasprit Bumrah for a six to reach this mark.
