On this day 103 years ago occurred the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre in Amritsar - one of the darkest chapters in the history of the Indian freedom struggle.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tributes to the victims of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre today saying that their unparalleled courage and sacrifice will keep motivating coming generations.

“Tributes to those martyred in Jallianwala Bagh on this day in 1919. Their unparalleled courage and sacrifice will keep motivating the coming generations. Sharing my speech at the inauguration of the renovated complex of Jallianwala Bagh Smarak last year,” tweeted PM Modi on the 103rd anniversary of one of the darkest days in the history of the Indian struggle for independence.
