Research shows fewer Indian students want to pursue an Australian higher education

There has been an 83% decrease in the enrolment of Indian students in Australian Universities in 2020.

Indian students have traditionally formed the second highest number of international students in Australia after china. However, researchers have recently found that the number of Indian students wanting to study in Australian Universities has declined in 2021.

International students from India contributed A$6.6 Billion to the Australian economy in the financial year of 2019-20. According to the Australian Strategy for International Education 2021-2030 report, Indian students make up 21% of all international student entries.
