Rishi Sunak resigns from Boris Johnson’s Govt

Sunak was the first person of Indian descent to hold the high ranking position in the British government.

United Kingdom’s treasury chief, Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak announced his decision to resign from his government role citing differences with the Prime Minster Boris Johnson.

In his resignation letter to Johnson, Sunak described his decision to resign as something he has not taken “lightly” adding that he is aware that it may very well be his “last ministerial job.”
