Rohit Sharma has been appointed as the captain of India’s ODI team, replacing Virat Kohli. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday announced this decision and it has flooded Twitter with varied reactions from all the spheres of the cricketing world.

Rohit Sharma was already serving as the T20 captain since Kohli decided to step down from captaincy after India's T20 World Cup campaign earlier this year.
"The All-India Senior Selection Committee also decided to name Rohit Sharma as the Captain of the ODI & T20I teams going forward," said the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in an official release.
