Events like Vaisakhi, according to Randhawa, promote a sense of community among all pupils, which is especially crucial in the aftermath of the pandemic to encourage togetherness after so much time away.

Vaisakhi, a traditional festival of spring harvest in India that also has religious importance for Sikhs, was celebrated on April 14, 2022 in Canada. Panorama Ridge Secondary School students were among the thousands in Canada who held their own celebrations to honor and acknowledge the cultural event.

The school's Punjabi 10, 11, and 12 classes staged a schoolwide celebration with dance, performances, cultural displays, and traditional food to promote and share Indian culture with the school community for the first time since the pandemic.
