In the wake of the spread of new mutations of the COVID-19 (SARS-CIV-2) virus, fresh restrictions have been imposed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai for international passengers arriving from the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East, South Africa, Brazil, Bangladesh, Botswana, China, Mauritius, New Zealand, and Zimbabwe.

According to a circular issued by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), all international passengers will have to undergo a self-paid RT-PCR test upon arrival before being allowed to enter the city.
