Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president, Harjinder Singh has welcomed the Turban Day related Act passed by Manitoba state of Canada. According to the act passed, April 13 will be celebrated as Turban Day every year in Manitoba.
"Respect and recognition to turban on behalf of government in any country is satisfying and a matter of happiness. This has been possible with the efforts of Sikhs living across globe and their achievements at the international level", said Singh, lauding the efforts of the Sikh Diaspora in Canada.
