A 55-year-old Northern California man Shankar Hangud was sentenced to life imprisonment this week for murdering his wife and kids.
“It’s a horrific crime," said Jeffrey Penney, Placer County Superior Court Judge. Earlier in Oct. 2019, Hangud killed his wife Jyothi Sharma, 46 and his daughter Gauri, 16 and both his sons Nischal, 16 and Varun, 20 because he lost his IT job and was financially unstable.
