Showcasing Diwali artwork from Australian native flowers by an Indian artist
Diwali Bloom reimagines Australian native flora from the nearby Cumberland Plain Woodlands. The flowers' colors were as vibrant as those seen in Bollywood.
The Cumberland City Council's Diwali celebrations exhibition, which opened this week at Peacock Galleries in Auburn, included Indian Australian artist Gauri Torgalkar's artwork with Australian native flowers.
"In a framework influenced by Indian notions, Diwali Bloom reimagines Australian native flora from the nearby Cumberland Plain Woodlands," said Torgalkar.
