Simrin Singh, an Indian American journalist, 22, won two Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards on July 24, 2021, for her production and editing at a ceremony hosted in the NoHo Arts District in LA. The Television Academy aired the event live on Emmys.com/LA.

Singh won one award for Outstanding Entertainment News Story for a segment she edited about Native American rapper Supaman, "Good Medicine." The second Emmy she won was for Outstanding News Series for "FACEism," a multipart series about the history of the treatment of minority groups in the U.S.
