Singapore President inaugurates Indian diaspora organization FSIO

FSIO was launched during the pandemic as an umbrella organization having 26 Indian diaspora groups under it, that would function as a collective voice of the Indian community.

Singapore President Halimah Yacob recently formally inaugurated the Federation of Singapore Indian Organization (FSIO), an organization launched under the ambit of the Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI), to give voice to the Indian community in Singapore.

Speaking at the launch, Yacob said, “SICCI-FSIO can advocate industry transformation, the adoption of digital technologies, and grow awareness of emerging areas of collaboration between Singapore and India.” She praised the SICCI for their work during the pandemic and highlighted the various areas that could benefit from Singapore-India cooperation.
