Rajinder Singh, a 74-year-old man, has been fondly dubbed as the skipping Sikh after a 20-second video of him skipping went viral with over 300,000 views.

He has featured in multiple exercise videos that inspired members of his community in Harlington to exercise and keep fit during the lockdown.

Recently, Singh was presented with an MBE, the third highest-ranking Order of the British Empire. He was awarded by the Prince of Wales in a scaled-down ceremony at St James’ palace in London for services rendered to health and fitness during the Covid-19 pandemic.
