Indira Gandhi's legacy remembered during the celebration of Bangladesh Liberation War, 1971

The event commenced with a 2 minute silent homage to 13 the military personnel died in the chopper crash including General Bipin Rawat

The celebration of Bangladesh Liberation War, 1971 was organized today by the Bangladesh Liberation War Commemoration Committee in New Delhi. The event was attended by Congress party president Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, A.K Antony, Former Defence Minister, former Speaker of Lok Sabha Meira Kumar, Major Ved Prakash and more.

The program began with a 15 minutes short documentary compiled of scenes from the period of Bangladesh Liberation War and the contributions of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
